Passengers traveling on Southwest Airlines, USA Sunday are being told to expect long waits and lines at the airport because of a computer issue.

In a statement on their website the airline is asking passengers to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to their scheduled flight time.

Southwest said the waits are due to connectivity issues with their airport technology system which is delaying passenger check-ins.

Michelle Agnew with Southwest Airlines said their teams are working diligently to enhance the performance their technology and that airport-based staff are working with customers on their individual itineraries.

Agnew said that as of 10:00 a.m. CDT, fewer than 100 of the 3600 flights scheduled to operate today had been briefly delayed .

An Eyewitness News viewer sent us these photos of the lines at the Southwest counter in Las Vegas which snaked through the building and outside along the building.

We have reached out to Bradley International Airport for details on how delays are impacting flights locally.  We have not received a response at this time.
