FirstNation Airways Resumes Flight Operations

FirstNation Airways, on Sunday, resumed flight operations after weeks of suspending its flight operations due to inability to meet the minimum fleet size, as prescribed by the regulatory authority, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.

Confirming the resumption of operations, yesterday, an official of the airline from the Corporate Affairs Department, Mr Rasheed Yusuff said “We are delighted to inform you that our operation is back. Flight commenced on Sunday, September 18, 2016 with very strong passenger demand despite the break. This patronage reinforces the strength of our brand and the quality of our service.” Also the airline’s Director of flight Operation, Captain Chimara Imediegwu confirmed on phone that the airline did two flights from Lagos to Abuja yesterday.

The airline had earlier announced that it would resume flight operation last Thursday, 15th September but was unable to meet the set date. Recall that on the 1st of September, First Nation Airline suspended its flight operations after the airline was unable to meet the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, NCARS that stipulates that no airline operator shall carry out scheduled commercial operation with only one aircraft.
