Nigeria’s Medview Airline to start Saudi Arabia flights shortly

Nigeria’s Medview Airline (VL, Kano) is planning to use its most recent arrival – a B737-800 on wet-lease from Slovakia’s Air Explore (ED, Bratislava) – to open up flights to Saudi Arabia later this month.

The Managing Director of  Medview Airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole, told local media during a press conference last week that flights from Lagos to Jeddah via Kano would launch on December 31, 2015 while those to Dubai International Airport are slated for the first quarter of next year.

Following eight years of domestic operations, Med-View ventured into the regional market with Accra flights earlier this year. Then, last month, the carrier made its intercontinental debut with flights to London Gatwick using a B767-300(ER) on lease/purchase from Dutch firm, AerCap.
