Police Service Commission Employs Pilots and Engineers

Police Service Commission, Nigeria has employed twenty five (25) Pilots and twenty (20) Engineers for the Air Wing Unit of the Nigeria Police Force. The Commission on Monday, 14th December, 2015 in its office at the Federal Secretariat, Maitama – Abuja, issued appointment letters to the Pilots and Engineers and directed them to report at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Central Business District – Abuja for documentation. The issuance of appointment letters brings to an end the recruitment process that started in August 2014 when it was advertised in some National Dailies.

The Pilots will resume duty as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) after three (3) months training at a Police Training College and will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) after six (6) months on the job.

The Engineers will resume duty as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) after three (3) months training at a Police Training College and will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) after twelve (12) months on the job.

The Pilots and Engineers reported at the Force Headquarters for documentation but were asked to report back yesterday for further directives because the Force does not have any plan in place for their resumption and training.
